What you'll achieveAs a Telecom Standards Lead, you will set our strategy for participation in key telecom standard bodies and industry consortiums including 3GPP, O-RAN Alliance, TIP, SCTE, ATIS etc.
You will set priorities, drive cross functional alignment, evaluate technical contributions from engineering teams, review proposals from other companies and determine impact on Dell's 5G existing and future solutions.
The successful candidate will be expected to eventually develop written technical contributions and give high quality presentations at industry standard bodies and consortium meetings to align industry's direction with Dell's Telecom solutions.
You will:
Strategize and organize cross functional team's participation in key standard bodies and industry consortiums including O-RAN Alliance, 3GPP, SCTE, TIP etc You will work with cross functional teams on developing key contributions to standard bodies and industry consortiums You will align internal and external stakeholders on key contributions You will evaluate key proposals and map out Standards evolution Provide relevant feedback to Dell 5G solution stakeholders Take the first step towards your dream careerEvery Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table.
Here's what we are looking for with this role:
Essential Requirements:
Strong understanding of wireless radio technology principles as well as a solid understanding of telecom networks and architectures A good understanding of end-to-end system design, compute platforms, architectures, and roadmaps is desirable Deep insights into technology trends and good understanding of emerging technologies Experience in standardization working groups, is an asset Organized, goal-oriented technical leader to lead, follow, and effectively collaborate with knowledgeable development peers and business partners Strong influencing skills to effectively collaborate and drive alignment with internal cross functional teams and external partners Ability to operate with large span of influence and limited span of direct control Excellent communication and motivation skills Desirable Requirements:
