Vaco is partnered with a reputable fast-growing retailer to hire a Senior Accountant.
The position reports to the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in the balance sheet analysis, month-end close, monthly financial reporting, budget, and variance analysis.
A successful candidate performing in this role would need to be self-motivated, resourceful, articulate, and demonstrate the ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all financial records are in accordance with GAAPComplete various journal entries and account reconciliations for balance sheet accounts monthlyEnsure accurate accounting for various transactions and activitiesManage day-to-day accounting responsibilities, including month-end and year-end close, year-end audit, intercompany reconciliation, and financial reportingProvide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reportsPrepare monthly fluctuation analysis by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trendsPlay a key role in annual year-end audit; Prepare audit schedules and reconciliations as requiredAssist with acquisition analysis, including due diligence and transition of acquired companyAssist in preparation of the annual budget and subsequent monthly variance analysisPrepare sales/use tax returns for monthly, quarterly and annual filings and stay current on sales tax law changes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferredExperience auditing/analyzing manufacturing industry financials is a plusExperience with Microsoft Navision or Dynamics 365 is a plusStrong knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookAbout the Company:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
