Life Sciences Contract Specialist

ZeptoMetrix Corporation Franklin, MA is seeking an experienced attorney to serve as a Life Sciences Contract Specialist. The Life Sciences Contract Specialist will be a senior legal resource for the company and member of the management team, providing advice on and assistance in negotiating and documenting commercial relationships, compliance and business matters. Duties also include providing legal advice related to the development and distribution of FDA regulated medical devices globally.
Responsibilities:
o Prepare, negotiate, review and manage contracts integral to the operations of a life science company, including confidentiality, manufacturing, service, supply chain and distribution agreements, material transfer agreements and biological license agreements.
o Develop, implement, improve and review legal and compliance policies, processes and training.
o Provide executive management team with updates on contract status and legal developments and their potential impact on the business.
o Supervise paralegals, including training and mentoring as appropriate.
o Coordinate with and manage outside counsel as needed.
o Assist in corporate governance activity as needed.
Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:
o Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
o Admitted in good standing to the Massachusetts bar or eligible for registration with the Massachusetts bar as in-house counsel.
o Minimum of 4-7 years of transactional/commercial law experience with a large law firm and/or in-house position (pharmaceutical or biotechnology preferred).
o A business person's lawyer with excellent judgment, particularly in determining the significance of legal matters and effectively measuring and minimizing risks.
o Proven negotiation, drafting and analytical skills, including experience negotiating with sophisticated, nationally recognized parties.
o Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills, with ability to synthesize complex legal issues to essential elements for colleagues throughout the organization with different abilities and responsibilities.
o Computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and email applications.
o Ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities.
o Personal integrity and ethics.
o Knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to the development, manufacturing and marketing of medical devices a plus.
Compensation commensurate with experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
