Accounts Payable Manager 2015-1765


Overview:
We have an immediate opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager for our Finance department in Franklin, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment and 3+ years of management experience within a Accounts Payable team.
This person will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable department as well as directing staff in processing invoices and disbursements, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, playing a key role in the ongoing development of AP processes, and performing related month end close activities.
Responsibilities:
oManage Accounts Payable team in a high-volume fast-paced environment
oPlan and implement Accounts Payable process improvements to strengthen controls, maximize system resources and improve efficiency and productivity
oDevelop and track metrics for upper management
oParticipate in cash meetings as needed and oversee cash disbursement process
oInteract with vendors and internal personnel to resolve escalated inquiries
oReview of top level large vendor account reconciliations prepared by AP team for accuracy
oPerform other month end activities as required such as journal entry preparation and general ledger account reconciliation
oSpecial projects as assigned by management
oUnderstand and abide by all security and operational policies
Supervisory Duties:
oResponsible for growth and development of Accounts Payable team
oProvide guidance and training to Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Payable team
oEstablish goals and objectives as well as conduct annual performance reviews
Qualifications:
oBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
o5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
o3+ years of experience managing an Accounts Payable team
oDemonstrated ability to contribute strategically by identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
oAbility to manage change effectively
oStrong technical and analytical skills
oPlease add Intermediate excel skills required - advanced preferred
oProven ability to prepare Accounts Payable related balance sheet account reconciliations and accrual entries
oExcellent verbal and written communication skills
oCapable of working independently and collaboratively
oAbility to successfully multi-task and meet deadlines

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
